I have a pair of RT35i driven by the Adcom GFA5300. I like the sound of this setup very much. In 2-channel Audio, they suggest that I buy a DSW series subwoofer to enhance the units' preformance.
If I connect the subwoofer in this way as amp-sub-speakers, does it change the the sound quality, for example the final music sounds like the "Adcom" or "Polk" style?

thanks

Well, Polk speakers will always sound like Polk speakers. However, different amps will bring out different attributes of the speakers. A Polk subwoofer would match your Polk speakers well and should sound good. Did that answer your question?

As I know, there is a power amplifier in DSW subwoofer. If the sound goes amplifer->subwoofer->speakers, does the subwoofer effects the midrange adn high frequency sound? Ideally, it doesn't, but in fact?
