Polk db124 air space behind cone.

I got a sub box that is custom made for my car, now when I seat the db124's I have in there, there is like 1 inch for the sub to breathe (at bottom of cone to bottom of box, woofers face up), should I invert for better sound?

    u should do whatever it takes for it to sound to your best taste.
