advanced adjustment on a plasma tv

i was told my akai 42" plasma needs to have the 'refresh rate' adjusted. the screen sort of flickers and can't keep up with action scenes. trying to watch golf today, landscape scenes are nasty! does anybody have a clue how to adjust these things? my old dvd @ 480i looks fine. analog signals are fine, too. just HD:mad:. any suggestions would be great! thanks;) mike
btw. cable tried 3 different boxes, replaced connectors, cables and tested at the source. so we've eliminated everything but the tv

I've never heard of that. Sounds like BS. Is the TV under warranty? Are you within your no questions return period?

So this is something new and nothing has changed in your setup? If that's the case, then its probably time for a service call.

I think I'd head over to AVS forum and do a search.My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.
