With the recent downsizing/eliminating of my dedicated 2-channel system, this one has to go too. The only place I've found to put my turntable is in the bedroom, hooked up to a receiver that doesn't have MC capability. So, I went back to my trusty old backup MM cartridge (AT15Sa).

I bought this cart about 12 months ago and used it quite a bit for a while, but over the last 4-5 months, its hardly seen any play time. If I had to make an estimate, I'd say that this cart has somewhere around 300-400 hours usage, which is quite low for a MC cart that has been taken care of properly.

This has a gold plated boron cantilever and AT's famous microline stylus, which combined creates a very light moving mass. The OC9 is known to be one of the best tracking cartridges around, and it extracts detail even from worn records because the ML stylus gets in deeper to surfaces of the vinyl that have never been touched by normal conical or elliptical styli. This is a moving coil, .4mv output, so its compatible to most MC phono sections. Its medium compliance to work with a wide variety of arms too.

The OC9 is one of the best cartridges in the under $500 price category and has been praised for many years by audiophiles.

This cart comes with all the original packaging, response curve, stylus brush, non-magnetic screwdriver, and two sets of gold colored non-magnetic mounting screws/nuts. Basically like new, but broken in for you ;)

SOLD

Nobody interested in this classic, all around great sounding cartridge?

From well know audiophile and equipment critique, Aurthor Salvatore's website. In his recommended components:
    http://www.high-endaudio.com/RC-Cartridges.html

"Audio Technica OC-9- This is a "classic" and one of the finest cartridges ever made for the money. It is also well built and reliable. The performance of the OC-9 is good in every sonic parameter. The output is .4mV, so make sure your preamplifier has enough gain.

It just misses making Class C, but it is an excellent "Entry-Level" choice."

Read what Mr. Salvatore had to say about some of the other more expensive cartridges that the OC9 competes against, including the Sumiko BPS, Benz MC Silver/Gold.
