Hi, not sure if this is where to post this question.
I have the following ghetto setup:
3x Polk RM201 as Centre & Fronts
4x Polk RM101 as L/R Surround & L/R Back
Polk PSW12
Yamaha HTR5960 7.1 Receiver
It's the FS RM20 Package with a added pair of RM101 for 7.1
In the Sound Menu under Speaker Settings the Yammy has a speaker size setteing:
Front speaker Small/Large
Centre speaker Small/Large
Surround speaker Small/Large
Surround Back speaker Small/Large
The Yamaha Manual states:
Select "Small" if you have small front speakers that do not reproduct low-frequency signals effectively. The low-frequency signlals of the front left and right channels are dirrected to the speakers selected in "LFE/Bass Out"
Select "Large" if you have large front speakers that reproduce low-frequency signals effectively. All the front left and right channel signals are directed to the front left and right speakers"
The above blurp is repeated for all speaker's front/centre/surround/surround back.
Am I correct in assuming that all of my speakers should be set to Small?
Thank you in advance.
