My beautiful daughter finally arrived.
Her amazing mother, Karen needed seven hours to complete the task.
At 8.6 pounds, and for a first birth its fantastic.
we named her Michael (folks will probably pronounce it "Michelle" but what ever) after my father,
who passed away three month ago, missing his first granddaughter by a hair. she's got her mother's pinkish skin tone and smile,
my father's baby-blue eyes, and my brunette hair (or so people tell me ... probably just so I won't feel left out ....) .

In the last months I straggled with keeping my mom together, helping
my wife get through her last few weeks of pregnancy, and staying true to my new-year's resolution: quit smoking.
In other words I did a whole lot of of praying.
I guess god listened, as both mother and daughter are healthy and I feel I'm luckiest man on earth.

I wanted at least one boy, but I would not trade daddy's little girls (2)for anything.
