Welcome to Club Polk. Nearly everyone would agree you should call Polk CS, and order the RDO198's. Ask for Ken, and mention you are a CP member, and get the discount;)

If you are handy with a multi meter pull the tweeters, and check them for ohms. They should be about 5-7 ohms. Peerless would require modding the case.

First things first. If you have one tweeter working, go ahead and pull that from your other speaker and throw it into the non working one to narrow it down. If it works in the non working one's enclosure you have a dead tweeter, if not then you have some work ahead of ya.

I'm running a Sansui 7070 (60 wpc rms) but I don't push it hard. The tweet in question is not putting out any sound at all as far as I can tell. The pair of peerless that I'm watching are starting bid of $49 plus $20 shipping, with light use claimed.

    Thanks for the input!

    $20 shipping?

The polyswitch is is small circular component about 1/2" in diameter, and thin. They are usually blue, or orange/tan. Just short across both legs to see if your tweeter starts working. I would replace both.

1/2" round, and flat? I mean like an 1/8" think max kinda flat? The reason I ask is If you have fuses, and polyswitches that might be a mod some did to the XO. It should not have both. Anyway to post a pic? I think what you are describing is a cap. It probably reads 12uf on it, 33 uf, or 36uf.

Have you checked the fuse? Your crossover does not have any polyswitches; the fuse is the protection for the tweeter.

    Where are you in Ohio?

Yes, fuse is only for the tweeter (99% sure on this one); yours is an early M7 and probably no schematics are available for those...there were many variations and I don't think all of them are documented here.

I live in Mason, 20 miles north of Cincinnati; there are several polkies in Columbus.

Use 1 amp fast blow fuses. You can get them at Rat Shack, or an automotive store.
