HI,I want to use spade lugs on my polk speakers R150. Is this better than
a bare wire connection through the hole of the binding post? If a spade plug is better, then I need 5/16,right? In checking the internet for spade lugs I found copper, silver, oxygen free, etc. The prices kept going higher and higher!
What do you good people think. Thanks

Bare wire is fine.
Spades are not better then bare wire, in fact you are actually adding
another connection when you use spades or banana plugs.
Having said that, I use spades and banana plugs on my wire because it's neater and also easier to disconnect and reconnect.
If you are going to use them, no point in getting carried away, or confused by copper silver etc, just buy some of good quality. -
