    Wow great thread.

I got my first CC in the mail. So I had to break it in. I bought a portable CD player, and Van Halens 5150. This was 1991.

I dont remember the first CD I bought. But I remember the first CD I played on my first set of speakers, and to this day break in all new speakers with it!

    Thats Creed - Weathered. Haha
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

My first English-language CD has to be Genesis' "Invisible Touch"....I think.

Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. Black label Harvest, Japanese pressing. Still have it, it remains the best sounding version to this day and it's highly sought by collectors.

**** dude, you are asking a question of what I bought almost a quarter of a century ago!

I believe it was Journey's "Raised on Radio". Of course that's what this old, feeble mind says it was. However, when I look at the release date of the album it becomes apparent that this was not my first CD because I had lot's of CD's two year's prior to the release date listed as 1986. IIRCC, I had my first CDP in the summer of '84 and well over 200 CD's by 1986.

So I don't know what my first CD was. :(

Paul Simon - Rhythm of the Saints
    Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
    AC/DC - Back in Black

Bought a Panasonic component ghetto blaster (RX-DS900 or something like that) that sounded fantastic with built in cd player and bought 3 cd's to play on it. Was working out of town and living in a camp and this was perfect for my tiny room at the time. Still have it in storage somewhere.

Dire Straits - "Brothers in Arms"

I bought it in 1985. Now the second one is a little more difficult to remember, I think it was "The Pet Shop Boys", the one with "West End Girls".
