Wow oh wow. If you are looking for an excellent coop game than this is it for you. Finally there is a game out there that really makes you rely on a buddy, much like the Brothers in Arms series.
1) Audio- Excellent surround use, but the guns all sound the same to me.
2) Visually- The actual gameplay visuals are good but plain. Nothing special, kinda bland. You have bunkers and such in strategic places to hide. But nothing during gameplay makes you say, "I have never seen that before". Now the cut scenes are a completely different animal. Folks these scenes are some of the best in the business hands down. The characters faces are just jaw dropping beautiful! An excellent job done by EA. Seriously, the detail to me was just stunning...cannot say enough about it.
3) Gameplay- Personally it brought a little bit of Brothers in Arms (Flank and Move) to it, but it did not out right steal some of the gameplay from that series. But overall it is refreshing when playing it split-screen with a friend. I thought I would not like it, but on a large enough TV it works very well.
No run and gun here folks. You have to communicate constantly on what you are doing and enemy locations, and slowly make your way through a map. You run and try to rush the enemy and you will be cut down immediately. There are certain situations in the game that allows you to do it, but it is very few and far between. I am not a military person, but I think tactically it does a nice job. AI is smart and keeps moving. Obviously there are some situations that are non-military, but for the most part one teammate is suppressing fire while the other tries to work his way around. And some maps are trial and error.
Overall I would give it a solid 7.5 out of 10. In game maps have no eye-candy and are very plain. Thats what drags it down. Plus I feel the guns are not very distinct between each other. (Except for the shotgun of coarse) Cut scenes are the best I have seen yet, to bad that did not transfer over to the game itself!

I would say that is a very accurate description of the game. I picked it up yesterday and I have really enjoyed it so far but it is far from perfect.// Panasonic AE8000 // Pioneer SC-57 // Polk Audio RTi A9 // Polk Audio CSiA6 //
