I listened to a pair of Ikons a couple of years ago. I was less then impressed. While they had tremendous bass, the tweeter's gave me a headache & the look & feel of them were cheap.

It's not a very good loudspeaker gven their other awe inspiring high end efforts. The fit and finish on the ones I saw at CES were not impressive either.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I agree finish wise, certainly not up to the competition at the pricepoint they are in.

Sound, I can't comment, not enough time with them.

yeah, finish look cheap, sound is ok but sound like it was boosted EQ on the midband and highs.

this post is over now, finally in just one listening session , I prefer polk sound, look and price. Was wondering if my money was going to be well spent on polk..
    I'm sold now.

The Mentor series has an excellent fit and finish, from what I saw at CEDIA the last two years, and sound pretty good. The Helicon are even better, but they are definetly pricey.
