I have a really interesting piece for sale here. Grant Fidelity is a Canadian company with manufacturing partners in China of some pretty fine tube gear. They have redistribution rights into North America for gear ranging from this processor up to tube amps costing thousands.

This is the Yaqin tube buffer built by Yaqin as the Grant Fidelity B-283. It is manufactured by Yaqin to North American 120V/60Hz, as opposed to the grey market Yaqins sold on eBay.

It also differs from the version with the Yaqin name in that it is manufactured with two 6J1 valves rather than the single 6DJ8/6922 tube.

Here's a look at the Grant Fidelity Link (mine is the older enclosure similar to Yaqin's, but the circuit/components are identical):

Here's the Yaqin branded (single tube) version through Pacific Valve:

Ok, so what is it, and why am I selling it. This is a well made, well-reviewed component that can sit anywhere in the line signal path. Either between your cd player and your pre-amp or between the pre-amp and the amp. It simply lets the signal flow through a pair of vacuum tubes, to impart a bit of that tube "magic".

This is the perfect way to experiment with tubes. If you've been curious about tubes, you can't find a better, cheaper way to dabble with them. The Grant version allows you to roll to several other compatible tubes. I barely tried the stock 6J1's because I was able to find a pair of Mullard M8100's on eBay. I also purchased a pair of Raytheon 6AK5W's. I absolutely love what this little "magic box" (as it's called) does.

So why am I selling it? Certainly not because I don't like it. Just the opposite! I'm in need of a pre-amp. So I'm upgrading this with a tube pre-amp/headphone amp that also uses those M8100 tubes, so I'm keeping the Mullards and the Raytheons for use with that, and selling the Yaqin buffer as a downpayment

It's a beautiful piece, and imparts some wonderful tube joy to your existing digital solid-state system. Do a bit of homework and you'll find some very positive reviews out there of the Yaqin as well as the Grant Fidelity version.

It's only about a month old, and the stock tubes were barely touched. Asking $OLD.

Some pics (shown in operation with the Mullard M8100's, it will ship with the stock 6J1's as pictured separately:

Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
