one or two subs?

I finished my basement a little over a year ago and I would like to add some more puch to the audio. I would consider my system to be mid-level with
RTi6's in the front, a CSi3 center channel, TC615i and TC610i for the rear surrounds being pushed by a Denon AVR-887. My sub is a PSW404. Is it easier to just get another PSW404 and run them together or buy a larger sub. The 404 is located in the front of the room underneath the TV. The cavity under the TV could fit another 404 no problem but anything too big would require some modifications to the entertainment center. That is not a big deal either since it is a built in and that area is covered with a speaker panel. I also have the ability to place it right next to the sofas which would be about 12 feet from the first sub.
Any help from the forum would be appreciated.

sell your other 404 and get yourself an SVS pb12+2. by far the best home theater sub i have heard for the money you spend.

I looked up that SVS. That thing is a monster! I am pretty sure it would break my TV if I put it under there. It also would be too big to go under my end table next to the sofas. That definitely looks like a dream sub to have. I didn't really do any price searching but I thought I saw on the SVS web-site that it runs around $900. That is a little pricey. I got my 404 at a great price, way under that.
