Hello,
I've been reading a book about Brahms and would like to know if anyone has a favorite Brahms piano performer they can suggest? Clifford Curzon? Stephen Hough? Third piano sonata, ballades or Schumann variations mostly.
Thanks much, Jed

Jed, the Hough disc of the Ballades and F Minor Sonata is well-regarded, but I haven't heard it. The one that's my favorite for those pieces is by Idil Biret . For no extra charge I'll also suggest that you consider my favorite Brahms piano CD, which is a bit removed from the early works, and includes the Hungarian Dances and Liebeslieder Waltzes in the piano four hands versions.

    Hello John,
Thank you for the suggestion, I was able to find a copy of her CD on an eBay store for a very reasonable amount. Thank you, also, for the additional suggestions, I'll certainly get that as well. I look forward to hearing it.
    Cheers, Jed
