All I can say is wow. It's definitely a lot, but I think it blends in well and isn't too much; a well created system.

    Awesome.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

The JBL Sovereign loudspeakers that he has a couple pair of? I sold a pair of those right off the showroom floor to a merchant seaman, around 1974 out on Long Island. The numbers $1,100 or $1,800 are in my head, but that doesn't mean much.

In my opinion, they were unlistenable. I have no idea if they had the S7 or S8 system installed. I had a lot more fun listening to the Bozak B-302's and KLH Model 6's. The best electronics we had were the H-K Citation 11 and 12 pre-power combo, so I don't think there was much of a problem there. The JBL's just sizzled like nobody's business. Too hot sounding for me.

Beautiful. I love the old cabinetry. Guess I'm just old too. When I mention SS now I forgot there was some very nice gear at one time.

I would love to hear the Paragon, I am a fan of (some) JBLs, and the Marantz gear is great, a very solid collection.

See the rest of his site? He likes to brag about more than his stereo. The interesting thing is, usually rich people don't care this much about audio... they just let the installer do his thing and whatever... but there are a few wealthy people that get obsessed, and to interesting results. I suppose, if you are going to have money, to use it in an interesting way, or else give it away to those that could.

I've seen that system before. The Altec speaker cabinet has a great retro look. I'd live to hear it someday.

that said, I would still love to hear the Paragon. just to see what all the hullabaloo is about. I mean 16g's?, hory ****!!!!
