It's official, COD4 Update available for download...

I logged onto COD4 this morning and was instrucrted to update it. Took a whooping 10 seconds.

Anyways it fixes the hosting bug. So now when the host drops in the middle of the game, the game WILL end, but everyone is kicked back to the main room, a new host and map is selected, and it will start over again.

So while it sucks if you are kicking ****, at least you get your kills and some bonus points for the host leaving.

As for the ACOG and sniper....I did not notice any difference. So I do not know if that was added to the update. Someone did mention that the kill cam has changed, but I never view it so I guess I do not know about that either.

UPDATE: The kill cam is so flipping ....freaking hilarious. You die by a grenade....you actually watch the entire flight of the granade from the throwers hands all the way until it explodes. (I watched it)

You watch the entire flight of a launched grenade launcher. (I have seen it)

You watch an RPG kill you. (Have not seen it, but I heard some guy laughing his **** off about it)

When killed by an airstrike...you get to watch it. (Not watched it...heard about it)

Not sure about a rocket kill from a helicopter.

And I heard some rumblings about sniper kills, but I have not personally heard or seen anything about that.

haha, people are going to hate me on the opposing teams. I launch all three of my grenades everytime I spawn.

I should be on sometime tonight as well. I know the wifey wanted to watch Beowulf tonight so I'm sure I'll be on after that is over. Have played some today and as Avelanchefan said, the new kill cams are pretty cool, especially the airstrike cams.

Okay last night I did view a rocket from the helicopter blowing me up. CRAZY!

I will have to say one thing though. I have no idea how this small update can do so much. I have come to the conclusion that they had already implemented this in the game before release, but had it deactivated, and gave it to us as an "update"

I hated the ACOG before with anything other than the M16. With the improved accuracy, it's definitely a more useable scope. I was able to take out some campin' little snipers the other night with it, no worries.

The new grenade cam is freakin' awesome! I watched a 'nade bounce off of a rooftop then a wall before landing right in front of me!
