One Soundstream DV10 1000RMS sub feed by PDX1000.1 or Two Soundstream DV10's feed by PDX1000.1 and will the double the power to one sub make up for half power to two subs??? I want SQ and not SPL.

Thank

If you go with 2 subs, you are just getting more displacement, which will do nothing for your SQ, but will up the SPL. Just a thought. I'm not gonna try to tell you which setup you should go with though because I don't feel qualified enough yet in the realm of car audio to try and tell someone how they should spend their money. Oh and I think, but am not sure, that the 1000watts would produce better SQ than if you were powerin' the subs with 500watts a piece since the you are increasing wattage by a significant amount.

i really think its gonna come down to your pref.... are u looking to hit those lows? or are u looking for super clean sounding? if u go with a sealed box, they will both be clean, however the 10s are gonna bump harder, they are gonna have a bit more punch and kick to them. the 12 will get u a bit lower notes.

Will a single 12 give the same punch as a single ten just the twelve will go lower?

Thanks and what about the question above? One sub getting the needed rms or two getting half the needed rms each?

Well usually the less a sub has to move to produce the sound.....the less distortion it will make. With that said 2 subs should sound cleaner playing. I dont know much about the sub you have & it very well may be what you would refer to as a "SPL" sub & may lack sound quality. If you do decide to buy a new sub I would step up to a 12" or maybe 15". Dont let people feed you the old myth that a 10" sub will be "faster" than a 12", its been proven wrong.
