FS: my pair SDA 2.3 Houston local pickup

Original boxes, upgraded tweeters to SL2000WC (with cap), I paid $600 in 2005. One binding post was broken when I bought them but it's been fixed for now with a radio shack binding post. I have an original Polk binding post for it when I have time to put it on.

Original IC cable if you want one. No back braces. One minor water stain on one of the caps. They aren't beat up but they're not pristine.

I'm only selling them because I found another pair in slightly better condition.

They sound like a million dollars. Sell for $500 SOLD

Free local delivery in my covered wagon.

3/2/08 Added 4 pics. The walnut top is not as scratched and scuffed to the naked eye as the flash on the camera makes it look. I see one scratch and one water mark.

SOLD

Free delivery within 100 miles of houston (Beaumont, Galveston, College Station, Conroe, Woodlands, etc).

If these are too big for you, I still have some JBL 4311B's laying around for $300.

I have not heard any 2.3's before. Can someone tell me if they will be a significant improvement over my SRS 2's?

I've owned both, currently have 2.3TL's...They both sound good with the very slight edge going to the 2.3's in soundstage and presence...but the SRS 2's are easier to drive.

Pretty much a toss up...But at Carls price I think it would be worth a try to find out for yourself.

Four more pics added per tex's request.

All the cloth is good except for the usual few snags. No holes. Walnuts cap are in good condition (not perfect) but don't need refinished unless you want them to look like new. No dented dust caps.

    Thanks for looking.

Honestly, I prefer the SRS 2 over the 2.3 - but the price here is outstanding - you'll certainly have room to move them if for some reason you don't care for them (is that possible with SDA?).

    Worse case, setup a 2nd, 3rd, 10th rig - whatever it takes.

Same here. I had the SDA 2.3's that I rebuilt for my buddy for awhile and after they left, I still preferred mine (SRS II's). Both had the RD0's and new crossovers but the SRS II's seemed to have the edge in low end.

    Good price...

Not to mess up the sale, but probably not. Still this is a great deal so you decide.

I'm supposed to sell them on saturday. If not, we can discuss it. I prefer to sell them locally of course.

    SOLD to Tex.
