Positioning of my CSi3

Ok. I just bought me an Omnimount for my CSi3, to move it from below my TV to above it.
Here's my question...
Should I prop the speaker so it is facing down towards the listener more?
Or is it ok facing forward? Right now it is probably 5' 5" above the ground, which places it around 3' above the listener's ears.
What's the general rule of thumb when it comes to center channel placement?

Point it down towards the listener. How would you feel if the dialog always sounded like people were talking over your head?Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

I don't know of any general rule of thumb with center channel speaker placement, other than to have it above or below the TV. I would say to experiment with it to see what you think sounds best. I had the exact same question after installing the Omnimount with my CSi25, and I tried:
- flat (speaker points straight out)
- slightly angled down (small risers on the back of the speaker to angle it down about 15 degrees)
- angled down toward seating area (large risers on the back of the speaker to angle it down to point directly to the seating area)
The slight angle sounded best to me for dialogue and sound effects. My HT

I sat in my favorite seating position and slowly moved up and down from fully seated up to the level of the center speaker. Couldn't tell a significant difference so I have it flat on the Omnimount.

I just installed the Omnimount last night, I turned it upside down as suggested several places and used the stickies to secure it from rubbing on the TV. Very solid, mine has metal legs. It just so happens the longer legs when pushed down in as far as possible are the perfect height for allowing the shelf to point the speaker down just enough. I'm quite pleased with the setup.TV Samsung 61" 1080P DLP LED
