Hello everyone, I have a set of polk RT-10`s that have been very good to me. I contacted Polk and tried to order the driver , the MW8002 . I have been told that they are on back order and they have no ETA so I did not order. Is there a suitable replacement for this system? I see that there are many current polk speakers that use the same size driver. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

if you want exact replacement wait for polk.
if suitable means within +-1% any driver of the same efficency and diameter should do
if suitable means within +/- 5% go to radio shack and find one with the same power rating that covers the hole. although they dont have speakers in the stores anymore you must order them from the catalog.. which is about the same as the polk solution.
wallmart has speakers back in the corner near the oil and tires and perhaps more actually in stock than radio shack
keep in mind most of the woofer response is the box not the driver. -
Wait for Polk. Check ebay, once in a while you'll find someone parting out a speaker."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

If you change one, you should change them all to the same model. Then what if you don't like it?
+1 on bite the bullet till you can get the same part. -
