Channel adjustments?

I would like for my surround speakers to be a little louder then what they are. Can I just change the db levels of the surrounds through my Hk avr. This won't affect the time at which the sounds reaches the listener would it? That would be the delay adjustments in feet right? :confused:
Fronts: RTI10's
Center: CSIA6
Rears: RTIA3's
Sub: 15" Velodyne DLS5000R x2 Stacked:D:D:D
Amp: Marantz MM-9000 150wpc (bi-amped for RTI10's) and CSIA6
