    shack, I'm just going by the $$ amount on my IRA (which is purely on stocks, not funds) so it's pretty accurate. Surprisingly my company's 401k plan has been a decent returner as well as all my investments there are in emerging markets. I put it in aggressive mode since it's only 2 years worth of contributions, my IRA has my previous 10 years in it. I sold all my cash portfolio to fund my vacation place purchase in Puerto Vallarta (which is also an investment). Luckily for me that was before the market adjusted, although I would have made some decent money there as well as majority of my money at the time was on TurkCell and Petrobras Brazil.

    I'm no means an expert in stock market, far from it, I just have made some lucky investments recently. Maybe it's because I put my money on things I have some clue in, not in some medical research or investment business. Majority of my profits from stocks have been on cell phone manufactures or service providers, car manufactures or computer related items.
