Gunman on my campus

So - I was told midway through my Calc class today that we had to evacuate due to a gunman on campus and I was really scared. So everybody just panicked and ran out of the classroom...

Left the class and ran to a friend's dorm where I stayed for the past few hours and saw this all over the news (TV). The good thing is, I am okay, so for all you Long Islanders who heard this on the news I'd like to let you all know that I am safe.

    Well, I just spoke to a friend who was in the cafeteria during the time the incident happened and he was quite terrified.

    In my day, the only weapon we carried on campus was a sharp #2 pencil on test day. What the hell happened to our young people?

    I don't know, who in their right mind would take out a gun in the middle of a crowded cafeteria?

    It's the instant fame that comes with doing something horribly wrong. If the event wasn't glorified in the media, this fashion of violence might cease. Mass violence turns a nobody into a bad and famous somebody.
