Thank you for all your prayers! Right now, he's just a normal like a happy healthy kid. The scary part is that, me and my wife know there is something wrong and it could happen again while he's asleep. I hardly sleep now constantly watching him, even when he's sleeping while I am driving. I pray to GOD to give us wisdom and strength to overcome this obstacle. Again, thank you for your support.
    Godspeed,

Wow, what a scary situation. Great job keeping your head and doing what was needed. Prayers sent to you, your wife and Ethan. I am sure this brings the father / son bond to a height never even imagined.

    Shawn

You are right about this! I treasure everything about him now (the irritating cries are no longer) I love him more....couldn't really explain it....morethan a father love his son.......Life is weird, unfair sometimes, but beautiful when love is around. God is smart, he made me realize the importance of quality of life with my children. It took so much pain to realize this. Dont get me wrong, I love my son then but with 5 hr sleep/ a night (average in 3 yrs), I tend to put the quality time aside, and tend to be moody at times. I'll rather get me some rest than play with them/ take them to park....

I'll share this story, a friend of mine shared it to me a few days after the trauma happened...read below.....

    Can I Borrow $25?

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year
old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'
DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.
SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.
SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'
DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'
SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

    The father was furious,

DAD:'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy'! s questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often.

The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling.
'Oh, thank you daddy!' He yelled.
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied. 'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you
working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

    Can I Borrow $25?

It crush me once again...... Then another forum member questioned my faith so I responded to read the book fo job....and another forum member shared me this.....
    Book of JOB:

The Book of Job helps us to understand the following: Satan cannot bring financial and physical destruction upon us unless it is by God's permission. God has power over what Satan can and cannot do. It is beyond our human ability to understand the "why's" behind all the suffering in the world. The wicked will receive their just dues. We cannot always blame our suffering and sin on our lifestyles. Suffering may sometimes be allowed in our lives to purify, test, teach or strengthen the soul. God remains enough, deserves and requests our love and praise in all circumstances of life.

    Well said huh......

My son will have to go through some EEG/ MRI test this week to find the root cause. On behalf of my family, I thank you for your prayers.

EVERYTHING is a gift, if you let it.

You were given a gift, although it wasn't wrapped as such ...... you had the wisdom to see it.

Life is good. And now you know.

Be sure to thank Ethan for the gift.

I have no words to express how I feel right now, I have lesser strength now after seeing this to my son. All I am asking from my POLK family is prayers. Since the 1st episode, he's been through a lot of work done by doctors from seizure tests(w/c they ruled out) to sleep apnea to scheduled surgery on July 15 for the removal of his adenoid nasal valve (possible cause of this scary seizures). Finally, his neurologist demanding for MRI analysis (brain issues) due to this latest incident and prioritizing his scheduled surgery ASAP. Prior to this 2nd episode, she didn't consider our request for our MRI request due to high risk on a 3yr old child (may cause more harm than good) but this time we ran out of options. My son still sleep next to us in bed while me and my wife are awake watching him.

This is a real tough situation. At least try to take shifts so one of you can get some rest while the other keeps watch. I know you wish you can take all the pain away from your child. Hang in there, prayers sent.
