I just recently bought a pair of SDA Signature Reference System 2 speakers. I spent a few hours looking for a manual and can pass on to others looking. One things not in the manual what happens if the interconnect cable is not installed. Thats right I didnt get one with the speakers. I'm looking for a few things in this post 1) does someone have a interconnect cable for sale or can I build one from some schematic someone has to offer, 2) Right now I have a Yamaha M-85 hooked up and it sounds good but dont know if this is a common ground amp or not, 3) According to the manual this Yamaha doesnt have the power necessary to compliment these speakers any suggestions or comments to this statement? Thanks Much

Without the cable, you will not get the SDA effect, the main reason for buying SDA's in the first place.

The M-85 is a common ground amp. and it has more than enough power at 260 watts per channel.

I have a cable, but not sure if I want to part with it. Anyone know what it's worth?

Wow I'm surprised by the quick feedback, thanks. So the interconnect cable is merely a straight thru cable? Although it would be nice to have the orginal cable I dont think I could justify $75 but thanks.

As far as the M-85 I like to use in it in class A which is about 30W. Any recommedations on Amps for these speakers?

I never said I was asking $75, although his answer surprised me. If you want it, I'd go (sold to Las for$35) shipped to your door.

You won't find many amps that do more than 30 watts in class A. Switch it to A/B and see what you think.

Polk Audio sells the pin/blade cable for about $35. We were all surprised by this about a year ago. But, apparently they made a few and have been selling them. Call Ken Swauger at Polk Customer Service 800-377-7655, talk with Ken or any of the customer service reps. Or email them at: polkcs@polkaudio.com

Good luck and welcome to Club Polk!:)

For a straight interconnect cable the pin is the only conductor. But the blade terminal does have an electrical function--when you use the speakers with the AI-1 non-common-ground isolation transformer the blade is the negative.
