Hey guys,

I am having difficulties with setting the digital optical output from my TV to my H/K 347. My current setup is running a Comcast cablebox to my Sony rear projection via HDMI, and them running an optical from the TV to Optical 1 port. The audio polling feature jumps to analog automatically, but no signal is being picked up using the optical. All cables are brand new- straight from monoprice.

FYI, running the optical out from the DVD player directly to the HK works perfectly fine...

Any ideas?

thanks

I have the same set up. I tried it your way and it worked? Make sure your tv input is set to the right HDMI port. I like to go directly to the HK with optical. Sometime i like listening to satelitte music without the tv on.

:confused:Hey. I tried it your way again but with the dvd player. It sounds much better? I thought the seperate anolog cables were the way to go? Your way i'm actually using the HDMI audio out of the DVD/CD player, but it's going to the tv HDMI audio and coming out of the tv optical audio? Let me go back watching Neil Peart on the drums and playing with the audio. ANY IDEAS out there. Thanx
