I sold my 1C's to a guy in San Diego - Fed Ex and UPS were close to 200 bucks and DHL was around 120... I had no idea they were that much cheaper but the guy I sold them to said use DHL and wow - thats a pretty big savings!! anyway just thought I would pass that on.

saving $ is always a good thing.. have they arrived in SD yet? if so.. did they arrive in the same condition you shipped them in? I would like to try using DHL some time too. I might, but with some item with a lesser value on it.

alot of that has to due with what they pay their help and customer service or lack of......i have used both and for myself have never had a problem...have heard of alot more damaged, mistreated goods on the DHL side....but yes their prices can be half of what fed ex charges...i do know that when i go to DHL at msp airport i can wait 10-15 minutes for help..fed ex is always staffed and ready to roll.....

Unfortunately my experience with DHL has not been good. I had of pair of SDA2's banged up pretty bad last Fall. I suppose it might not have been their fault but the seller is pretty reputable and the boxes were original Polk. They were obviously dropped. I do like the fact that they deliver on weekends like FedEx (but not UPS). I suppose it only takes one careless idiot in the chain regardless of "whose chain it is".

Things can get banged up with any carrier, that's why they have packing guidelines. However, As far as DHL, I'm in the "don't like them for anything" group. I stick with UPS or 2nd, Fedex for stuff I can't ship USPS.
