For Sale: SACD and CD players, sources galore

I have been hording sources big time to try to find something to replace my Pioneer Elite DV-45av and Theta Pro Progeny combo. Some sounded as good as or slightly better, but lacked the functionality I really wanted. Others sounded great but didn't look quite right in my rack. I'm very picky/fickle. . .


1. Marantz SA-8260 SACD player, 9/10, original everything, $400 shipped, SOLD

This player sounds, looks, and works great. I had the laser replaced a couple weeks ago as preventative measure while it's still under its 3 year warranty (warranty ends 5/2008). Repair also comes with 90 days warranty so pretty much can't get a better one unless you go new. Looks new. Great stereo and multi channel SACD and CD sound. Headphone jack with head volume control as well. Remote, original box, manual, etc.

2. Denon DVD-2200, 8/10, remote, Sale Pending

Nice budget audio / video player with multi-channel SACD, DVD-A, CD playback. Great working and physical condition.

Comes in original box with all the fixings. Will arrive looking like it was shipped directly from MF. Cool features include display will show artist / track info on newer discs, if you own other MF gear, your current remote will control this (so you don't need as many remotes), AWESOME build quality, very accurate/revealing in my system. Brought it to a new level of detail without losing warmth.

    I bought Andy's other Sony SCD-C2000ES. Great seller. Great player. Good price. This is a five disc carousel player. I'm playing The Peter Malick Group feat Norah Jones, "New York City", SACD on it right now.

    Then just buy the Denon 2200 :) $185 shipped.

    If you're patient, you can find a pretty good SACD player for $100 or less. Just check craigslist and ebay every once in a while.

    Andy - I didn't see that you had an SA-8260 posted when I listed my FM ad. Sorry, as it wasn't intentional. I don't think I can compete with your lowered price on the DCD-5900 :D

    Polkies - That Musical Fidelity CDP is very nice, great sound, excellent build quality and it has a sexy rear end.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    I have one of these in 8/10 condition sans the remote. Picked it up as part of a package with a matching VSX-45TX receiver. I don't use the SACD functionality and would be willing to trade. Interested?...Oh, I live in the Metroplex so no shipping issues. Thanks. :D

    Uhhh, I think I'll pass given the fact that I'm trying to sell 4+ sources right now, and the PE 45av, while a pretty decent player, is no better than what I have right now.

    If you sell the Pioneer to someone and want to purchase one of my player, that would be great, but no interest in a trade.
