there needs to be a jumper that goes from the pre out to the amp in... sounds like your integrated amp is missing this left and right jumpers
some like these would do the trick.
if you remove the jumpers from the pre out to the main in.. you won't get ANY sound.. this I believe is what is happening to your set up.
the XM tuner needs to plugged into the rear of your amp, using an AUX input..PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

i have the jumpers. i tried connecting xm through tape connections on amp and tape connections on receiver but no luck. thats why i removed the jumpers and tried to go direct.

I've got a headache.
You can't plug your XM radio into the main in, pre out jacks. Try plugging it in the AUX input on the back of your main unit, which I'll assume is a receiver and not an amp.Political Correctness'.........defined

on the XM tuner, i'm not sure if you have to go in th menu and tell it to output analog audio or not. it's been a while since I used one.
but yeah.. AUX is the input you want to use. Do you have a strong enough XM satellite signal? if the signal is weak, you may not get a strong enough signal. point the antenna around in a different direction to be sure your signal is strong enough.
Other than that I think it's a hook up problem.
please list your amp/receiver with brand and model number.. even if it's old...PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
