my sub has the 2 red/white plugs, which I understand are RCA.
Now, they also have the 3 yellow/red/white plugs too...am I supposed to plug in a regular A/V rca plug into it? With the yellow plug? And if so...what do I do if my receiver only has the 1 plug for the sub?
Sorry for the idiotic questions. The manual didn't go into much detail at IMO.

You should use option 1 in the manual; connect your sub output from the AVR to the LFE input in the sub.
LFE-IN is clearly marked in the diagram in page 7 (might be the yellow RCA you mention)_________________________________________________
