And on the 4th day .........
My lsi9's are sounding better & better .HK 3485 seems to be a good fit for now. I have such a small space & this combo fills it up nicely.
Played the eric clapton dvd of the Crossroads guitar festival today & wow--what I've been missing. My former system was a little book shelve Yamaha 35W per channel which has a good sound but nothing like the HK & lasi9's.
So now I must plan the next move up . I'm addicted already.

There's no need to plan your next move up. You're already "up."
Maybe look into some real nice speaker cables and you're done. Sit back and enjoy.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

maybe just a little 100- 120 5 channel amp so i can try bi-amping these lsi9's ??
uummm I NEED MORE JUICE NOW !!!!!!! But seriously , some nice cables would probably make a good addition cause im using some cables from .................( dare i say it ??)............... walmart . i know all of you that have cables that cost more than my speakers either are laughing so hard or nearly bit your tongue or maybe spilled your drink.
I will get some nice cables-- I promise -
Dont blow too much on the cables just get something decent. try signal cable, theyre solid and not too pricey.

That's a good combo, congrats. Signal was a good suggestion, and there are others too. HK is warmish, and the 9's I would say are warm rather than cool, so you can try a couple of sets and see what you like better. Auction the loser.-Ignorance is strength -

Kind of a rule of thumb that i like to use is spend btwn 5 and 10 % of what my sytem costs on cables.
Personal opinion of course though...Terps Swimming!
