SVS and Polk subs

I was trying to decide between an SVS sub or a Polk sub. Went to a friend's house, who has an SVS plus sub, man oh man, that sub just rocks!
Compared to the Polk subs I heard at Circuit City, the SVS sub just blows all those Polk subs out of the water!
I don't understand why those Polk subs sound so bad. Now I am all set on an SVS ultra.

You're really smart.
Have my babies!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Did they have one from the DSW series?"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

No, I only saw a bunch of Polk PSW subs lying around. Those didn't sound very good at all.
