WAZZZUP! MY PROBLEM STARTED WHEN I BOUGHT ANOTHER CAR. MY OLD CAR FIT 2 BANDPASS BOXES PERFECTLY. MY NEW CAR ONLY FITS 1 BOX. I HAVE 2 SPARE DB 10"S NOW. I WAS CONSIDERING MAKING 1 SEALED ENCLOSURE FOR ALL FOUR, BUT THEN MY SECOND PROBLEM STARTED!! I WAS READING ABOUT ENCLOSURES AND CAN"T DECIDE BETWEEN BANDPASS OR SEALED. SINCE I DO LIKE THE EXAGERATED BASS AND SOMETIMES I LIKE PROPER, TIGHT BASS, CAN I HAVE ONE BANDPASS AND ONE SEALED ENCLOSURE IN MY HATCH???? WILL IT SOUND MORE COMPLETE OR WILL THEY WORK AGAINST EACH OTHER AT CERTAIN FREQUENCIES??

Hi, I was just recently in your same situation. I bought two EX Series 2 10'' subwoofers, which are basically the same as yours. Im not a professional when it comes to speakers, but I do know some stuff. Unfortunately I dont have a answer to your question, but I can give you some help. Because of the different air space/design of the boxes, they may cancel or somewhat negatively effect the sound of each other, but Im not for sure, I wouldnt mess with it. I made a sealed box for my subs, and it has great tightness and boomyness! It sounds awsome, I am more than satisfied with it, but there was a LOT of work and money spent on its construction but of course it was worth it! Since you sometimes like tight and boom, you should make/buy a ported box. That is the "inbetween" of a sealed and bandpass. If you want to make one I would more than willing to give you some advice/tips on how to do it, and what I learned from making my box. Give me an email at dcm82@juno.com A great place to find information out about speakers is at: http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/education/ Good luck!
