The ending actually did surprise me. Overall I liked the cop/Foster dynamic. 'Death Sentence' the other hollywood revenge offering was watchable too.
I think 'The Brave One' draws a comparo to 'Death Wish' and 'Death Sentence' had a Taxidriver vibe going. Foster's equal opportunity death dispatcher -vs- Bacon appendage blasting death dealing on one particular infestation.

It was entertaining to me but I would have rather had more suspense in the cop finding out who the killer was.
Yep, my name really is Bob.

Good flick. Nothing ground breaking, but worthy of a rental. Great acting by Foster and the cop guy... besides that... eh.

Pretty well done, with good acting all around and a fairly realistic plot.
Jody kick some decent ****, not sure how the tire iron scene would have really gone down, but...
And yes, I wasn't sure how the ending would turn out, so that was a plus.
I'll give it a thumbs up.

Just saw this last night. It was pretty good. Jodie overacted as usual but I loved Terrence Howard (I always do). I also was absolutely NOT sold on her love for her fiance'. She never is able to pull off those hetero relationships in movies. Just absolutely no chemistry. Very forced ( I wonder why :p?)

I did enjoy the movie though. Recommend the rental.

I agree. Just not believable in romantic roles. (Sommersby, Maverick, The King and I - not so much.)

Maybe if they worked on the casting a bit I would believe it.:p

I liked this one. I thought Foster's characterization was very believable and that Howard stole every scene. I was really expecting the telegraphed dark ending and so was mildly surprised.

Foster should do a "Road to" (ala Hope & Crosby) picture with Ellen DeGeneris ;).
