Turned my rig on for the first time

Well, it's confirmed. I haven't had the Odyssey in the rig lately and I have been listening to different Carver amplifiers. I can turn the rig off and back on with no real sonic degradation or warm up time with the exception of the Jolida tubed CDP which usually stays on all of the time.
I'll be reintroducing the Odyssey again here in the near future and I'll see if once again the same thing happens. It happened every time on the rare occasions the rig was completely powered down and the Odyssey was in the loop.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
What kind of speakers are you using? If they're SDA's, I'd recommend you send them to me immediately...

Stanton STR8-100
Polk SDA SRS 2.3TL (Proud newbie owner!) -
With the Odyssey? Tyler Acoustics Taylos 7U's.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

My Odysseys sound horrible when powered down for more than 24 hours...
But after about 3 days of being left on, they sing - boy do they sing.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
It would be logical to begin at the beginning. I would only buy gear that begins with the letters A, B or C. After sometime has passed, please feel free to proceed through the alphabet.

Holy crap Trey, I just noticed that you now have 15,000 posts!
That's a lot of blabberin'. Congrat's dude and BTW three days is what it takes for mine as well. Day two I just can't even stand to listen to it as it's actually worse than day one. But, like you said on day three she just opens up and sings like no other. Every aspect of what has been FUBAR over the past two days just all comes together in a wonderfully orchestrated way. Sing baby sing........~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
So your not building the Alaphabet Rig???????? bummer...............

You mean like Antique Sound Labs, Blue Note and Cary? Yeah, I could do that but it would take me a while to make it all the way up to the Manley Neoclassic 500.
However, ASL would be a great start.......~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
yes, but just think of all the fun you would have on the journey,
I have got Acoustech and Auralex, BAT and B&K, ClearAudio, Caver Amazing and Copperhead, for my ABC, lets see I had alot of Dodd Gear for D, have Echobusters for E, lets see F, I must have something................

Well, I suggested Focal for speakers but noooooooo. You just had to try something else didn't cha'?~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Am I really at 15,000
Man I stopped looking at that about 4 years ago! lol
Thanks --- yeah Odyssey gear is strange, the Candela was a real weirdo when I first got it. After about 30 days, it sounded completely different.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Lucky for me, EarlyB's buddy had already done the initial break in for me. Congrat's on the 15K mark bud!~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Sweety balls? You mean those sweet Italian cookies with the powder sugar on them? If that's the case thanks for the compliment.
I'll catch up with you later. PS: did you get your rig up and running yet? -

Them's be the goooooood cookies!!! YUM! YUM!
Rigs not back together yet, the NAD had to back in for repair. Stephen gave me a nice preamp to hold me over till it gets back. Also, on a side note he might be taking on the MF line shortly. Great stuff."2 Channel & 11.2 HT "Two Channel:Magnepan LRSSchiit Audio Freya S - SS preConsonance Ref 50 - Tube preParasound HALO A21+ 2 channel ampBluesound NODE 2i streameriFi NEO iDSD DAC Oppo BDP-93KEF KC62 sub Home Theater:Full blown 11.2 set up. -
