I received this turntable last night. I have only had a little time with it so far but my initial impressions are positive. It has much more depth and power than my previous tables. Now I need to get all the record cleaning accessories. 98% of my records are from the GW. For the most part they are very listenable but could be cleaner.

Congrats. That tonearm looks like the carbon my RM5 has.

    Happy spinning.

Pretty nice, Scott. It looks better in your pictures then in the online shots. Can't beat carbon fiber for sexxxy.

    Thanks guys.

It sounds very nice. It has much more depth and low end compared to my previous tables. String instruments sound much better. I really have not been able to listen much to it yet. My psuedo isolation base of Home depot shelving, MDF shelf, accoustiblok, carpet padding, Accoustiblok and a piece of 16"X16" slate seem to work pretty good. I have not gotten any feedback like I use to with the other tables.

Oh Ben. I am trying to bring sexy back.

It is an Ortofon 2M Red. I think it sounds nice for a cartridge that comes with the table. I think it is set up right, But I don't know. I am a newb to turntables.

Nice choice Scott very nice looking table. If you need any help setting it up or just want to BS about tables give me a call. I have some templates you can use to make sure the setup is perfect.

I love the acrylic platter and the carbon fiber arm. I gotta start digging around to find you a clamp.

PS: I posted two other posts in this thread and they seem to have been deleted.

    Thanks Joe.

It came with the cartridge attached, but I did have to rotate the tone arm per the directions to make the cartridge parallel to the record. I have been looking around for some thing to weight the middle of the record down until I could buy a clamp. Hockey puck? The table did come with a two-point cartridge alignment protractor with a 130 and a 250 marking crosspoints but I do not know what to do with it.

    Fun none the less.

Hockey pucks have been used and are "OK". Just drill a spindle hole after finding dead-center. I'm sure it ain't like "The Clamp", though....:):) Analog kicks the "snarlies" of digital!!:D Enjoy.
