questions from a new guy

I have a pair of SDA-1A's (factory modified 1's), I bought them in 1985 or 86. I'm new to the forum having dug them out of storage to listen to after 14 years (has it been that long??). I haven't used them since I left active duty (USAF AMMO), and the moving company cleaned me out, all but my SDA's and an Akai 747, too heavy to move I guess. Years, school and kids prevented me from replacing my amp/pre amp and phono. But I hung on to them, recently I plugged them into a cheap receiver and I was hooked again, Now I want to rebuild...
So my questions are
1. Are they SDA-1A's as I was told? I posted some pictures. front and rear. You can't see it, but the ser no. is SDA2347. They have two ports and a pin/pin interconnect cable.
2. Do I need to up grade them, they suffered some water damage recently and I'm thinking of rebuilding the cases, but I'm not sure what I'd gain from replacing components that work.
3. Where can I get parts, I misplaced the interconnect cable and one of the fuse holders is broken. (They do have the original fuses, and I just threw the boxes away...)
4. And most importantly what would any of you (more currently educated) folks recommend for equipment? I have been playing with tubes lately. I just inherited around 1500 or so (mostly TV stuff) from a friend, and built a headphone amp.
Cost is a factor; I have 4 daughters, a wife, and several fish tanks to keep happy.
I look forward to opinions and comments; let me know what you think

there are of course,
very few problems that can't be solved with the appropriate amount of high explosive

yes, I made a post asking for advice on rebuilding the cases. One member asked if I would post pictures to determine the correct model, that led me to wonder if I did indeed have what I had been told and I decided to ask further advice. Hence the new post, as I believe I am supposed to keep to one topic.there are of course,
