I want my ears to bleed

alright, as the title says, i want my music loud! Currently i have my mmc6500s connected to a MTX TE 1004 (125w rms @ 4ohms x4).

I have them connected only to the rear chan and the amp is set to mono mode (this allows me to set the low pass filter on the amp)

now i can turn them up to 35(max on my alpine 9885) and the power is 100% clean, 0 distortion at all, and is still really really loud, most people cant take it, but i on the other hand want some more. when i turn the gains up to a certain point, at low volume, like anything below 7, i get a hiss out of my tweats... is this unclean power? or is it normal to a certain degree?

Also, my speaker install is pretty strange, i have the speaker on the outside of the door panel and then the factory door panel has that thin almost tube like structure that is meant to keep the panel tight against the door itself, and i have the spacers that came with my momos pushed all the way inside that. So i screw the spacer in and to the speaker and the screws pull it together so its super tight, nothing vibrates at all, however the volume changes a ton when i roll the windows up or down. Do u guys think that dynamating the whole door pannel (the plastic) is worth it?

Also i havent put any dynamat in my trunk yet and i have enough to do the whole thing, is that worth it? once again im not really getting any vibrations at all and it sounds really clean, its a brand new car so everything is still nice and tight.

You should not have any hiss in the system if you did not have it before. This could mean that your gains are too high. How do you set your gains?

If you want more volume then you are going to need more.

Are your speakers not being run in stereo? Also, have you put sound deadener on the doors at all?

You can always get a 2nd MTX amp and bridge them into a 2 channel amp. That would be 200 + watts per channel.

But if you want REALLY loud sound, get a set of compression horns.

Cram an ice pick in 'em and wiggle.

You know there are many other companies out there. I've owned MTX amps before, and really liked them. The thing is that if they don't fit your current needs, why stay with them?

You need to put a good amount more. Cover as much as you can get on the outer skin, and cover all of the inner skin.
