I contacted the seller and they sent me these pictures also. It's the dimentions that throw me off. And the pictures are great either, so I'm seeing if I can get a few more. I'll be going up there this weekend to check them out. :D My guess is 2Bs?

I think it works F1...

got the same pics from them today too...planning on checking them out also, since I couldn't get the SDA1 the other day.

I was thinking 2B also except for the dimentions.

They look look like sda-2b or studios by the 1 1/2" wood top and base. But I dont know because I thought my sda2 were b and found out they are sda-2a. $100 is a good price, go get um.

Done...shouldn't have, might have to resell them, but I did.

The dimensions were wrong...closer to 40" tall...tweeters have been dented and popped back out, drivers all look good, wood is ok except for a water ring from a plant, grills have some pulls but no holes I can see, connecting cable included. They were the original owners, husband bought them with honeymoon money 1 week after wedding for $1k each...he was not at the house (had to leave so he didn't witness them go).

    Woohoo, SDAs!

Same driver arrangement as mine, but the grills and endcaps are different. See my sig link for some pictures of mine - they don't have endcaps and the grills don't wrap around.

sweet Cameron, nice job on scoring the SDA 2B. it's a great SDA speaker which can be modded to the final version of the SDA lineage.. I believe it's the 4.1TL version.. :) either way.. those are the same ones I scored last year for the same price.. but mine had a couple dead drivers and tweeters.

Yes, one of the tweets out of the speakers said 2B on it. Funny the only way to check is to yank a component.

They are 2B's, they are the "studio" model mentioned above but in a wood finish instead of the black.

Wrong info studio's were only made in black and they were veneer not solid wood if I recall correctly. These are not studio's.

    Cambir,
Now you get to figure out if you need or want to replace the tweeters. I did and wouldnt think of going back to the stock fish eye sl-2000. I love mine with the rdo-194 or what ever its called.
    Zingo,
Dont you have a pair of sda-2 already?

Pulled both drivers out of the left cab, both were MW 6510s, so according to the FS thread that was linked to I have 2As. Drivers were dated 1986.

    Hi Cambir,
I havent removed the mids to see what they are but they are a or b. They have blade-blade interconnect and had sl-2000 tweets stock. Heres a pic of the monitor 11 I found for a friend with my sda-2 behind it. Have you had a chance to listen to them much? I'm sure you will love them. Pm me if you want to try an amp I have.

I remember you getting those Mon 11 on CL. Nice snag there.

Yours must be the SDA 2A with that face plate at the bottom...or a different, less-known 2B.

    pm on the way...

If I didn't know better I would have said you were in my living room and took pics of my 2B's! They look exaclty like mine...well, excpet for the tweets. My RDO's came yesterday and I put them in pronto(was surprised Fed Ex showed up on Prez Day!). Didn't have much time to listen to them so my jury is still out on any sound improvement. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we have enjoyed ours over the years!
