Ordered the RTi8'S but now what?
I was able to order the RTi8's from Fry's today for $149 a piece, which seems like a great deal to me. I also ordered CSi3 center from amazon for $129, which also seems like a good deal. My question is, should I have gone with the CSi A4 for the center or something bigger like the A6. Also am torn between the RTi4 or the FXi A4 for my surrounds in a 5.1 setup to begin with later converting to 7.1. ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT!!
Just to let everyone know I already have in my possession the DSW Pro 500 sub.
Thanks

CSi A4 is the new CSi3. I think you did great. I needed black ones and got a deal knocked to Fry's price but $149 is the sweetest deal on the street. At the end of the day, I ended up paying $10 less for the black one's from another on-line source (who's out of them now) who had them for $199. It wasn't easy but I got it done or the color I needed.
I'd go FXi's for the surrounds now, and if you go to a 7.1 then worry about what to use. Either way, the FXi's will be best for surrounds in most cases.- Onkyo TX-SR805

If I do go with the RTi8's, CSi3, FXi A4's, the DSW Pro 500, all ran by the Onkyo 805 is it a good match? Nothing should overpower each other should they? I will have them set-up in my living-room which is 14X20 give or take an inch. There are two types of people in the world, The Ones that do, and the ones that wish they had! What are you?

J Kennedy I see you run the CSi A6 with the set up is that a better fit? In your opinion....There are two types of people in the world, The Ones that do, and the ones that wish they had! What are you?

I was worried about that too but depending on what receiver you have I think it can help match them with the mic calibration?TV Samsung 61" 1080P DLP LED

I really can't say yet. My stuff has just gotten here this week and is far form set up. Right now I have the brand new RTi8's hooked up (with old crappy wire) and the CSi A6 is on the floor in front until I get the media stand modified with a riser so the TV will be lifted 8-9" and the CSi A6 will fit right below it.
The FXi3's were hooked up as fronts while I was waiting on the RTi8's just to see how they sound. Now they're sitting on the floor at the wall they'll get mounted on.
And that's it. LOL It sounds good right now, but once I get the FXi's installed and good speaker wires built, it'll be better, then it looks like I'll have a riser custom built for the TV on top of the stand so the center will still be out of place.
So it's all a mess right now. I'll be pulled cable this weekend and installing the FXi's and getting the cabling done right. Next is the riser and ordering a sub and maybe 2nd set of Surrounds. I placed a bid before I left tonight knowing I'd be outbid for another pair of FXi3's and I was outbid. I wasn't able to be here to pull the trigger myself, but I'm not paying that much for them when I can get FXi A4's for $249 delivered.
You know, the only answer you really needed was, "I don't know until I get it all set up."- Onkyo TX-SR805
