Need surrounds and receiver help with RTi-8s

I posted this on AVS forum and really haven't got any help. Sorry to those who already read it
Just pulled the trigger on the RTi-8s (black) from Amazon nd used their free sub-woofer offer. I got the PSW-110, but I wanted the PSW-125. LONG Story short, I ended up getting the 110 for free. Not my first choice, but it will do for now.
THought I had a line on a CSi-5, but that fizzled. Oh well, I plan on ordering the CSi-3 from J/R or Crutchfield.
Now.... I need some imput.
WAF would really increase if the surrounds would be in the wall/ceiling. I had started to get the FX-4 surrounds, but my long and narrow room (22x11), would make them stick out quite a bit (7 ft ceiling).
Any thoughts on Polk's in ceiling units for the surrounds?
Need more help with the receiver...Onkyo 605, Pioneer 971, Yammy, etc? I had settled on the Onkyo until reading some of neg reviews on cnet. 7.1 is not in my immediate plans.
Had thought of the other receivers for the ability to bi-amp the RTi-5s or is this really a non-issue. I have read posts stating either way
