Want to hook up Active Speakers to Receiver

Newb question here. I won a pair of M-Audio BX5A speakers in a contest. I want to use them with my home theater. My current receiver and sub-woofer does not have preamp outs. Is there any way to hook these up to regular speaker wire output or do I need a receiver with preamp outputs? Do you know of any budget receivers that have these outputs?
Thanks
Thanks

HK 245, 246, 247 are "budget" receivers with preamp outs. You can find factory refurbs on ebay for great prices. I used a 245 in my home theater for a while, other than the remote being a POS, it was a great unit."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

You can also get a line level converter(look for car audio shops or Fry's) for about $ 20 that will convert a left and right speaker output to a pair of RCA's.
This assumes you already have receive that you want to use. -
I do have a receiver. The speakers though have an XLR or TRS input.

You can find RCA to 1/4" cables with ease. You'll still need that cable if you find a receiver with pre-outs.

Sorry but not sure I understand how would I hook the RCA jacks to my current receiver if they only take speaker wire?

Speaker wire from the receiver to the line level converter. Then RCA's from the converter to your speakers.

Makes sense. I will look into doing this. Thanks for the help.
