Emotiva Mmc1

Has anyone had experience with the Emotiva MMC1, or DMC1. I am considering a purchase and was interested in knowing how the Emotiva products matched up against other preamp controllers in the under $2000 price range. The item would be replacing a Yamaha HTR-5790 (RXV-1400) which is being used as a controller. I am in the research phase and want to make sure I get a compatible product. Thanks.

    IMO Emotiva products offer a huge bang for the buck. If i didn't pop for a Pioneer Elite 84 in late 2006 I'd seriously consider going with their seperates. The local minister of finance (wife) isn't ready for the upgrade just yet.
