I want to get a surge protector, but Im confused. A lot of people have the pf60, but it seems it does not have avr or battery back up.

for a couple bucks more the pure AV with battery back up and avr is available.

any thoughts?

I would recommend a line conditioner. Which not only protects your setup with surge protection but gives you a better quality audio and video.

I have the PureAV UPS. Since I have a DLP, I like the added safety of a battery back up in case of a power outage. My DAC is sensitive to voltage fluctuation, it works flawlessly plugged into the back of the UPS.
I'd like to eventually upgrade to their new UPS to save space in my rack since I have both a PF60 and a UPS.
