EAC copying

I am ripping wave files with EAC. When I access them using Windows media player there is no Album, Artist information. I got lost in a lot of the settings and am now completely backwards. I have most of the settings in their default settings. Any help getting all the info at top quality out there???

You want to check the CDDB settings. This is the internet database that shares the information. Therefore, you will need an internet connection to do it.

Does the information show up under the properties of the files? If not it probably was a issue when ripping, if so then its a wmp issue.
Out of curiosity have you ever tried Foobar? I gave up WMP for Foobar because of ease of use and sound quality a while ago. -
When I right click "properties" it only gives file location, type, bit rate, name, ect. It does not even reference the album or artist. When I use WMP properties only the file name is filled in.
I use the freedb datebase (http://freedb.freedb.org:80/~cddb/cddb.cgi) Which was the defalt. It shows all relevent info before I rip. It has band, song titles, album, year....this is why I would think the info is included somewhere. -

I am only using WMP to test the tracks on a different program. I would hope that the ripped files work with all players. -
If the info shows up when you rip then it should be in the file. Try right clicking on the file and selecting "Properties". Then select the "Summary" tab and click on "Advanced >>". If you see the file info then they were ripped properly and its a problem with WMP.

Simple gives me nothing. Advanced gives me bit rate, audio sample size, channels, audio sample rate, and audio format.

I don't think the issue is EAC or CDDB. The issue is the format you have chosen to rip to.
.Wav files do not store tags the way the rest of the formats do. Unless you use something like dbpoweramp with some enhancements, you basically have to tag .wav files yourself. You can create batch programs with mp3tag that will do the tagging for you will need some programming ability to do so.
If you want lossless, choose a lossless format such as .flac using EAC. That is the setup I have and it works great. I also use Foobar for playback. -

It might be the wav file, as I have flac and mp3s on my computer that were ripped using EAC and all of the importnat info shows up in that advanced tab, such as artist, track, song name, genre, year, etc. You might have to look into a batch tagger (I think these exist) to tag your files.
When I get home I can try and rip some files to wav and see if tags show. -
Would I use the "compression options" section in the "EAC" heading? I have Flac but can not find it in the compression option in EAC. Would I be able to add that info when converting the already ripped files to Flac?

If you want to convert to FLAC you use the external compression tab under compression options. You should be able to select the flac file extension and then browse for the flac encoder.
