Proceed Pre-2... opinions?

I've been keeping my eye out for a good 2-channel pre that I can integrate into my HT setup. A Proceed Pre-2 just came up on Agon for $725obo. It's a few hours drive from where I live, so that makes it a bit more attractive.
It has the HT Bypass (unity gain) that I need, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this pre? Is that a good price, and is it any good?
thanks.

I was checking out that ad also. Did you get any pics? I bet it doesn't last very long at that price.

The Proceed AVP2 is the top of the line but does hover around 2K used. Check out www.avsforum.com in the best prepro threads.

Not sure about that particular model but I do own the AVP-S and have been happy for years. Proceed is very good gear.Michael
In the beginning, all knowledge was new!

Yes I got pictures, looks to be in very good shape. A few hairline scratches on the top, but that's about it.Speakers: Polk LSi15

Looks like a good deal on the Pre-2. The other option would be to sell your AVR and get something like a Proceed AVP-2. For around $1.5 - $2K, you get top of the line audio for movies and music, instead of just upgrading your 2-channel experience. Won't have all the video processing, but it would surely best your Yammy in terms of audio.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
