A buddy of mine from work just picked up a set of 807's and they sound great. The first speakers I have heard that I would be as happy with as my LSi's. (for close to the LSi price anyway)
    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

I don't understand the passion and pleasure people seem to equate to Focal speakers. I've always found them bright, harsh and generally not pleasant with the type of music I prefer. They do seem to have increased their marketing campaign over the years....different strokes for different folks...maybe they work well with jazz, acoustic and pure vocals.

I think the same of Totem speakers (don't get the hype) so maybe it's my ears.

As always, it's all about the synergy. I'm not a fan of bright sounding speakers either, but the Scala Utopia paired with the right gear has impressed me more than any other speaker I've heard so far.

The 807's are the only focal speakers I have ever heard. I am sure, much like Polk, every line sounds a little (or in some cases a lot) different. I will say they sounded very good though.

I have only heard their 8 and 7 lines as well, but I do understand that with each step in their speaker lines, only good things happen.

Anyone heard the Focal Chorus 706V before?
