I was looking at audiogon, but I have never bought there, so I thought I would try here first.

Any interest in a GFA-5006? Not quite as much power, but insanely configurable and has a nice auto-sense power-on feature. (6 channels at 50/75 watts 8/4 ohms, each pair is bridgeable to 175 watts so you can make a 5, 4, or 3 channel amp with it).

don't fear the Agon. Most people there are totally legit. Prices aren't nearly as good as you'll typically find around here, but that's more a factor of Polkies trying to basically give gear away as it is Agon being overprices.
Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850

Okay silly me but I am confused by the bridging aspect of it. I want to run all five speakers, so what exactly would the watts be? I looked at the manual but it showed only the back of the 5002 version. So I am assuming that the back of the 5006 has 5 (6?) speaker binding posts. So once I have all five speakers connected the switch is set to "stereo" mode..right?

    Sorry for the dumb questions.:o

Also are you using this amp as a 5 channel amp? And what would your asking price be?

You're right - there are 6 pairs of binding posts. I used it two different ways:

    1. Bridged two of the channels and left the other pair unbridged. This gave me 175WPC for the front channels and 50WPC for the rear, but I used "phantom" mode for the center.

    2. Later I bought two center channels (one front and one rear) and used it as a 6 channel setup.

In your case, it sounds like you'd leave everything unbridged and have one spare channel if you want to add a rear center later.

These are relatively unusual, so I'm not sure what they're selling for. I was hoping for something in the $350 territory.
