most of us upgrade when we sit fit.. or as cash flow permits. for this Christmas, are you planning to upgrade or add some new piece of hardware to your system?

There are several things i'd like to replace or upgrade right now. but because $ is tight. i really can't. But if i did.. i think my system could use a new larger TV. MY 12 yr old 27" Zenith has held up well, but a shiny new flat screen 36" tube would be great. I have no desire to go with a rear projection one.. just not interested in anything but tube right now. I have seen the plasmas and lcd's. tube is still the best looking in my humble opinion. Plasmas and LCD's are still way to expensive.

There's a pair of Quad ESL-57s locally. When and if I hear them I'll decide then.

If not the Quads, I've got my eyes on an old McIntosh MC60 (I think) tube amp. This with some wires.

Or an Adire HE10.1 kit and a pair of ASL Wave 8s.

    Not really.

I'm hoping Wendi picked up a Carver C-1 preamp I pointed out. Maybe ATC's SDA's......other than that, I'm pretty content for now. I'm really just looking forward to spending some time with family and friends this holiday season.

I was kinda hoping you were looking at the older dual-concentric models. Like the 12" Reds or Golds and build your own cabs.

    It's still cool though.

Well my new girlfriend has already ordered me a brand new set of Polk RTI70's:D . Isnt she so sweet. I guess to accompany them I will get a CSI40. I will then have to change my signature:( .
But I think it will be worth it. She offered to buy me the 150's or the LSI15's, but the 150's don't seem necesarry with my Velodyne. As much as I would love the LSI's my Onkyo 595 just is not enough:( . Though I am positive I will thoroughly enjoy the new mains!
The guy with $40.00 mains and a $700.00 subwoofer.

Mark, me too, some Reds would be sweet. I think Mr. Grand actually found a pair with cabs at a freakin thrift store for pocket change. That effer.

    Cheers,
    Russ
