i have a very old pair of sda crs, any ideas on upgrades. in my humble opinion the drivers are not that great. i see they have made consorted efforts for tweeter refinements but what about those 6.5 woofers? they still seem hokey, stamped baskets?? if i am wrong pleae advise.

Doped paper cones are still some of the best sounding drivers. Apply Dynamat to the baskets to help prevent ringing. Upgrade the crossovers with better caps and resisitors. Then, sit back and enjoy.

The old polk 6.5" is a very musical driver. Pull one out and play with it.

CRS's are very nice sounding speakers. Placement is key for great sound from the CRS's. F1nut's suggestions were right on target.
